Located in the heart of the beautiful Hoopa Valley, the Tsemeta Forest Nursery is wholly owned and operated by the Hoopa Valley Tribe. Tsemeta is dedicated to growing trees for reforestation needs both on and off of tribal lands, as well as providing education on local ecology and food sovereignty.

The Tsemeta Forest Nursery seeks to be a resource for tree growing and planting well beyond the borders of our own lands and beautiful valley.

Tsemeta is working within the Hoopa community to teach native plant growing and the importance of planting trees and other native plant species for future generations. We are committed to supporting widespread community plantings and reforestation efforts here and across the Pacific Northwest.

In addition to replanting efforts, Tsemeta hopes to be a catalyst for youth involvement and education on the importance of native plants and their role in local ecosystems. Our aim is to serve as an active resource for community members, support sustainable forestry practices, and play a vital role in a larger community ecosystem.
